Day 12
Went out for city tour today! Visited Hubei Provincial Museum and Yellow Crane Tower. Meet up at 715am in front of the WUST to undergo a 1hr bus journey to the city area. Supposed to go museum first, but it wasn't opened yet as it was still early. Hence our tour guide decided to bring us to the east lake. Spent around 1hr at east lake snapping photos before proceeding to visit the museum. We had security check before entering the musuem for safety purposes. It was supposed to a fun filled day, but my camera broke down and it doesn't work. I had to take the rest of the pictures with my handphone camera and get from friends. Most of the pictures here are taken from my handphone camera, hence the quality wouldn't be that good.We are setting off!

Lotus and lotus~
Trying to get some catch...
Left east lake for musuem visit at about 10am. The distance is relatively short and took only about 5mins bus journey from the lake to the musuem. I must really applaud that this musuem is huge and grand, with a park in front of them. The building structures and facilities looked slightly like Japan in my opinion.
Outside the musuem
Entering the musuem.

Went to Shou Garden Snack street(首义园小吃街) to have our lunch. Unfornately the time limit for our lunch is too short. Only tried steamed buns and a taiwan snacks as my lunch. It was tasty. The paying system is by value-topped up card and we can get back the refund it there is still balance in the card.

We are almost there. Here are some other nice view i managed to capture
We were truly amazed by the history behind the yellow crane tower. According to the tour guide, this tower was built by Sun Quan, the king of Wu in 182-252AD, serving as a watchtower for his army. Several events happened and the tower was destroyed and rebuilt. In 1884, a fire completely destroyed the tower and it was not rebuilt until 1981.

Reflection:
I find Singapore's traffic system is more organised and safe. In wuhan, although there is zebra crossing, the cars and buses just zoom passed you. We have to give way to vehicles. And there is a continous horning all the way by the drivers. Nonetheless, it's good to immerse and understand their way of lives. The next thing I discovered is that china people aren't selfish and 'kiasu' like singaporeans. They are very willing to share table and don't place belongings to book seats.
